About 15 years ago I bought dog flea shampoo from you that most groomers used. It had a good scent. Need a list of what you carry.

I bet you got our TRIPLE PYRETHRIN SHAMPOO which is an awesome smelling product that works great on fleas. Unfortunately there is a worldwide Pyrethrin shortage so this product is not in production. In fact, we’ve been out of stock for several months.

I recently have found fleas on my indoor animals. What do you recommend for treatment both inside and outside to rid my house and animals of fleas?

I think it would be best for you to first look over our in depth FLEA CONTROL article. This covers everything you’re asking about including the best products for the pet, the treatment options for inside the home as well as the best sprays for outside the home. Our article goes over just enough biology on fleas so you can learn why this pest is such a problem in and around the home. We then detail how you need to treat, why you need to do some things a certain way and then what to expect following the treatments.

I have two small children who are often on the rugs and carpet in our house. However, I have now witnessed two instances of fleas hopping on my children so obviously we have a problem. Are the flea granules the safest to use in my instance? And do they ruin the rugs (we have a couple of pricey orientals) if I use it? Does the product eventually get vacuumed out or dissolve or stay in the rugs and carpet forever?

Been treated four times by pest control company and still have a few. What should I do?

Treating fleas on tiled floors is actually very easy to do and to get positive results and with that being said, I’m unsure why you’re having this type of lingering problem. The reason why these areas are so easy to handle is because the flooring is a solid, impenetrable surface so there is no where for the fleas to hide. This means there is no way for them to avoid simple clean ups and direct treatments.
